The Dye Benion Unit 297 American Legion promotes flag etiquette, put flags up in the cemetery, do military rites at funerals, lead parades, send boys to Boys State and pancake breakfasts.

The Dye Benion Unit 297 American Legion Auxiliary promotes flag etiquette, assist the Legion with any projects, clothing drive, blood drive, pancake breakfast, serve funeral dinners, Girls State, put flags up in cemetery, send comfort items to the Veterans Hospital and to Vet Center in Cedar Rapids.
