We understand that there are bugs to be worked out with our overdrive.  We have been assured that they are working on resolving as many of these issues as possible.  Please be patient and check out the information provided on the site as well as the video.  You must have the most recent version of your browser.  Firefox works best, Internet Explorer may need some "plug ins" installed to work.

TumbleBooks is an online collection of animated, talking
picture books which teach kids the joy of reading in a
format they'll love. TumbleBooks are created by adding
animation, sound, music and narration to existing picture
books in order to produce an electronic picture book
which you can read, or have read to you.

CP FRIENDS OF LIBRARY BOOK BARGAINS COME EARLY THIS YEAR

With excellent timing for snapping up bargain beach books and porch swing books and “Mom, I’m bored” books the annual Center Point Friends of the Library Used Book Sale starts Saturday, June 1.

At its May meeting Friends finalized the book sale hours:  Saturday June 1, from 9 to 3; Monday and Tuesday June 3 and 4, during Library hours; (Library closed beginning Wednesday June 5) Thursday and Friday June 6 and 7 during the Pork Days celebration, from 4 to 8; and Saturday June 8, from 9 to 3, an all-you-can-carry for $5 sale.

The sale is in the Library basement and the bargain basement prices stay the same as previous years:  25 cents for paperbacks; 50 cents for hardcovers, audio books, and DVDs; 10 cents for VHS tapes; and a few items priced as marked.  (The $5-all-you-can-carry sale on the last Saturday is really a $5-all-you-want sale and Friends will help you carry out your finds.)

The group will begin setting up for the sale on Wednesday May 29 at 9 a.m.  The next Friends meeting will be Thursday, June 6, at 6:30 p.m.  during the Used Book Sale.

Please drop off any donations you have during Library hours.  Books should be clean and free of mildew. Please no textbooks or encyclopedias.

Did you know you can recycle your out of date text books and encyclopedias?  Hard bound books need the binding torn off and paperbacks can just be put in the recycling bin.
